Baseball Final

I stood there with a painful weight
It was life or it was fate
From the mist appeared a ball
This was flying or this was fall
Out on field stood the pitch
Hit and run without a twitch
Legs pounding on the ground
Hit the base then turn round
Then from the corner of my eye
Floated a cheque amongst the sky
My desire quenched to run and take
Would it be a big mistake
I could give it to charity or the police
Or maybe my bank could increase
But instead of changing my own course
I kept on galloping like a horse
There I ran into my home base
I had run a stunning baseball ace
My team were champions all in all
We had won the championship ball
