2009
it started with a sly smile
then continues on like this for awhile
i seem to see you more
im not sure what your always coming to me for
but of my feelings i'm starting to become sure
we're always holding hands,
like we're connected by invisible bands
the place next to you is my seat
taking that would be a strangers dying feet
when you hold me it fits
even though it goes against all me wits
our time like this seems undying
i should be happy, but i end up crying
this carries on
im wrapped around your finger
you know you've won
you hold me tight
it makes finding what you want a fight
is this just some fun?
should i continue the game? or should i run?
i've hit a nerve
but from answering me you swerve
i present you with a slice of my heart
but you send it on the next leaving cart
little birdies talk
but in the opposite way from me you walk
i look in you direction
but you show me no returning affection
i'v dug a hole to deep
now my own ignorance makes me weep
you ask if i got the note
but it turns out it got lost in the messengers coat
what did it say? i ask
this is when you remove your mask
you look me in the eye once more
it goes back to how it was before
the only difference is i know see
you do like me
we shouldnt happen just yet you say
my courage might not have made me pay
one day i might get my way
