MELTING INTO NOTINGNESS

I am petrified and filled with loneliness
as I hear the howling noise of the wind blowing fiercely through the gum trees.

I don’t have much where I live.
All I have to drink is the moisture off the leaves.

I am cold like an ice-block, melting into nothingness.
