I’m like a skeleton
Sitting up here, all alone
Feeling dead inside
And the wind rushes past
It goes straight through me
The way when you look at me
Your eyes go straight through me
And if I’m not real in your sight
I’m not real anywhere
The story of my life
Is written in your pages
And if your book is blank of me
I don’t exist
I’ll never exist
Except in your eyes
This love
It’s love that goes unnoticed
One-sided and blind
And I’m sure you care
I bet you do
Deep deep down, where I can’t see
But you won’t show it
Not to me
So here I sit
Atop a ladder in the twilight
Tears staining the pavement
Because I didn’t get a kiss goodbye
