Global Warming
See the smoke arising,
The temperature climbing.
See the fire burning,
The people yearing
To see a clear blue sky.
Can you see black?
No colour anywhere.
Can you see the grey sky
Choking all the air?
Carbon dioxid too much to bear.
Hear that sound of a chainsaw,
It's cutting trees down.
Hear the crack of the animals' bones
As the trees hit the ground.
Can you see what global warming
Is doing to us now?
How will it be in twenty years time?
Will it be gone before we die?
And what will our grandchildren see?
Maybe nothing will be.
