Red is for roses,
red is for excitement,
red is for posers,
red is for delightment,

The colour of a child's cheeks in the cold,
The colour of red rubies encrusted into gold,
Red is the colour of sweet strawberry jam,
That I used to make, just me and my gran,

Red is for freshness, a new beginning,
The colour of the robin red breast singing,
Red is the colour of a bold strong name,
Red is the colour of the ultimate fame,

Red is the colour of passion and sweetness,
It is the colour of Santa's robes at Christmas,
It is used to heat the earth with the glowing sun,
I is the colour for Valentine's Day, for dad and mum,

Red is the colour of my mum's face when I get a scold,
The colour of a large sign reading "SOLD",
It is for holly at Christmas,
The colour of sweet cards to show that everyone loves us,

Red is the colour of your wish-list Ferrari,
Red isn't the colour you wear on safari,
It's for royalty too,
Its what brings us together, just me and you!
