Of Scattered Thorns And Withered Rose

Close your eyes
And hear it rasp
My world
So
Choked
On feted
Gas
Holding
Still
For
Time to
Pass
And heal these
Broken souls
Of Scattered Thorns
And Withered Rose
Close your eyes
And taste this
Shame
Pride tainted
Now
By those
Some sought
To tame
Who I know
Now lye
Defenceless and
Maimed
Of Scattered Thorns
And Withered Rose
Close your eyes
And touch cool rock
Chipped from many
A Juvenile
stone
Marking now
Someone’s
Cold
Stiff bones
Shifting now
In rattled
Grave
Known to all
As passed of
Age
Of Scattered Thorns
And Withered Rose
Look at it
So wasted
Old
Once bold
Of blood
And young
Now succumbed to
Mould
So known to all
As beautiful
Strong
Withered now
In graveyards done
Wrong
Of Scattered Thorns
And Withered Rose
You know my thought
So beauty comes
It looks so
Strong
Yet in the
End
It lasts no wrong
Now close your Eyes
And know this
Be
Of Scattered Thorns
And Withered Rose
