It's been so long
Since the last time
So much has happened
In such little time

When conscious you notice
Attention takes time in detail
With so much happening
As though my eyes could fail

Hours slip through fingers
Like the sand in the hourglass falls down
Falling away into a blur
Clarity spins the hourglass upside down

The small things
That make things big
Are forgotten without perspective
Apathy dominates
