It was Wednesday night and Game 3 of State of Origin was being played at Suncorp Stadium
Kurt Gidley kicked it to Billy Slater. He ran 23 metres, then Trent Barret and Jamal Idris tackled him.
"Move," Billy said.
Jamal Idris stayed on. "Penalty to Queensland" the referee signed.
Darren Lockyer booted the ball to the Blues 20 metre line.
He tapped it passed it to Israel Folau who passed it to Slater. Jarred Hayne tackled him 6 metres from his line. "Move," Billy said once again.
Jarred moved.
Billy rolled it to Smith who did a little chip, Billy on his arms he dived and scored the ball between the posts.
"Video Referee," the referee exclaimed.
TRY went the Video.
Jonathan Thurston converted the try.
6-0 it was.
It was Billy Slater's 16th Origin try.
When it was half time the score remained 6-0.
During the second half nothing changed, but a 36 metre field goal by Cameron Smith.
When the game ended it was 7-0.
Today was the Maroons 5th Sate of Origin win appearance.
