Deep
The river was a deep, smooth blue that made me gloomy,
The trees and bushes were covered by snow,
And they reminded me of black and white television.
The ground was untouched... a fantastic quilt of white
Icing sugar covering everything in a thick layer of sweetness,
I could see no sign of anything living.
A deafening silence rang in my ears.
I heard nothing besides my heavy breathing,
My slow snail pace footstep and a
Rare ripple of the water
I reached down to touch the water,
It was a sharp, ice cold that travelled from my fingers to my toes
I sent a continuous ride of tiny waves across the water.
I touch the soft, fluffy snow that
Chills me to the heart...
