You are deceiving everyone
Your enemies, definitely
Your family, always
Your friends, truthfully
And don’t forget the lies
The ones that crawl under your bed
The ones that slither as chains around your hands
And the ones which spit at you every day in the mirror
It’s a disgrace
You watch your lies daily
You hold their leashes tightly
You fear them ever-slightly
And they find you, they stab you
You lose them and they take you
Hurt you
Deceiving your purpose, yourself
