I didn't mean it, I never said it
but you think it, so I regret it.
I never heard you say, you were sorry
but you hear it from me, a thousand times
is that enough?
And I don't mean, the sorry people say
when things didn't go the right way
or the sorry if they feel bad
or the sorry because
you made them made.
Its the sorry you barely say
when you know you've done
something wrong,
when you feel no guilt
but your morals are in decay
its not the sorry
you wouldn't hear everyday.
When you cant stand to make
them unhappy, and the moment
you do, it takes you so long
to say sorry for what you do.
Sometimes you don't even notice
when they walk away in tears
even you were fooled to believe
they haven't been sad in years.
Because scares are the things
that never healed right
and can never be forgotten
with all your will and might.
When they said true friendship
or true love they didn't mean
you never had to say sorry
or that you can be mean.
But you don't notice
she walks away and weeps
you think of her all day long
she thinks of everything
and cries herself to sleep.
There are some things time
can not heal, but the things it can
you cannot
or will not
because its to hard to banish
the scares that wont vanish.
