Feeling Lucky

Rosé sighed at the television. Oh how she would have loved to go to the great new
water park, it was so hot outside and there wasn’t a pool around for miles and to make it worst the creek had dried out. As Rosé’s little brother Tim walked through the door he too sighed “ Rosé do you think mum and dad could take us to the water park? I really want to go, Sean a boy in my class went and he said it was really awesome I think he said there was a ride called the plunger were you get plunged into darkness and then get flown into the air and while this is happening you get wet.” As Tim finished Rosé heart beat faster she loved rides that made you lose your stomach and this was certainly classified as one. “Rosé do you reckon you could ask mum and dad to take us there - you could ask them if it could be a birthday present, your birthday is only a few weeks away. Please”
“I will think about it”
“What is there to think about”
“ Lots of things...”
“ You want to go don’t you?”
“Well yes, but ”
“ -Well ask them then - simple”

“Go away Tim” Finished Rosé honestly she thought to her self, brothers could be such pests. Rosé walked to her bed room busting with thoughts Tim did have a point but it was her birthday not his and she should be abel to celebrate it what ever way she wants- but then agin how would she want to celebrate it, going to Water land seemed like the best way. But what about the cost water land didn't come cheaply it would cost about a years worth of pocket money shared between Rosé, Tim , Sera, and Ale ( the twins) plus her parents. Rosé could see this wasn't going to come easily.

Later that night when Rosé couldn't stand it no more she walked straight up to her parents and said “ Mum, Dad my birthday is coming up in Three weeks and this year I want no presents but a outing” This was hard thought Rosé she had to find the exact words to use. “ What type of outing did you have in mind” Asked Mum curiosity “ Well you know the new water park... “ Im sorry honey” cut in dad “But no we are not going to the park , do you know how much money it will cost? Over 1 hundred dollars most likely” Said Dad answering his own question. Rosé felt like crying - this was all she wanted and it turned out to be a straight out “No” Rosé turned and ran down the hall to her room slamming the door behind her but just before the door closed she caught it better, not make it more worst than it already was - her parents hated slammed doors. “ So how did it go” Rosé lifted up her head to see her brother smiling at her she couldn't believe him “ If you want to go to the stupid park ask yourself now goooooo!”

A week later when Rosé had completely lost hope of going to the park she came up with a plan - make money to go. Simple why hadn’t I thought of this before she smiled to her self Rosé tipped the contest of her piggy bank out onto her bed quickly she counted the money a total of 9: 80 “ hmm not enough” She sighed I guess I have to pull out the old lemonade stand - when Rosé had been 8 she had woken up one day and wanted to sell lemonade shed made some money as well -$5:00, Luckily today was a very hot day in the western sun so she should make some profit ten minutes later ever thing was set up and Rosé was waiting for her first costumer some kids were running around, approaching the table soon they arrived they each paid Rosé 50 cents there were 5 kids so she got 2:50 not much at all as the day wore on Rosé met only 10 more customers and at 1:00 selled three more cups of the drink it seemed it was time to pack up obviously people preferred to stay indoors with the air con and fans rather than outside in the
heat . 8: 50 plus her money in the piggy bank there was no way that Rosé family was going to water land .

“Rosé will you get the mail?” “Sure’” As Rosé ran outside to collect the mail she released she felt lucky why she had know idea but it was a nice feeling as she opened the letter box she flipped through the mail “ bills, bills, bills, Junk, Wrong address and .............what’s that ?” Rosé muttered to her self she was holding a scratchy with the water land logo on it as she turned it over she saw that it was a compation to win a family pass for a family of six it said there were to 5 pass to be one . Rosé Knew that it was properly just a trick but she loved doing them any way
“

“Rubbish” her dad would say but he never stopped her doing them. As she sat on the porch steps Rosé found a 5 cent coin, she was felling really lucky now as she began scratching away you had to get three of the word pass to win pass, pass, oh she wanted this so badly and the finally word was ... Pass! “Yesssssssssssssssssss!”Yelled Rosé in delight “I won ,I won!” “ What’s a matter honey you were screaming?” Oops Rosé didn't realize how loud she had been. “ Mum guess what we are going to water land!” Rosé Yelled as she showed her mum . This was the best day ever.


Three days later Rosés family went to Water land and Rosé never stopped smiling once.
