Leaving

He didn’t look at her the way he once did before. He never held her hand, the way he held it before. Something changed about him. There was nothing there anymore, everything died between them, there was no such thing as affection nor love.
They sat upon the hill, overlooking the city lights. This was the very first place he first took her. It was his secret getaway to his pressuring father and his smothering mother. She was the only one he let in. She was the only one he showed his getaway too. She felt special, somewhat loved. When they were apart, she knew that someone out there was thinking about her. Him.
But now, he didn’t have that longing affection. The love he once had, had now disappeared. She was hopeful, she was willing to do anything to make it come back. She tried numerous times for him to look at her the same way he once did before, but nothing aided her sorrow, her despair, her desperation for his love.
They both looked amongst the sparkling city lights in utter silence. He gave out an exasperated sigh. His voice was dead and droned on.
“There’s nothing to say anymore”, he said out.
Coldness slowly crept in and the wind started to howl around them like terrorizing wolves.
She looked down to the long flowing grass beneath her. Her heart stopped for a painful second. She expected the worse, but then again, she was secretly hoping for the best.
With her silent, painful sobs, she glanced up at his eyes, his emotionless eyes. He didn’t care she was in pain, he didn’t care she was crying tears for him. He just didn’t care about her at all anymore.
He gave her one look and gave out a sigh.
“I’m leaving”, he replied, and got up and left without looking back at her.

And she knew he was never coming back.
