Girl ~

CHAPTER 1 About me My name is Emily, I have two brothers and they are twins, their names are Jack and Tom. My dads name is Rob and my mums name is Alice. I'm in year eight and my school is called Portleden secondary, it's an all girls school. I think I am smart at maths, i also play in a basketball team called the spikers. My family and i live in England and have never been overseas. Mum always cleans the house, dad is always at his restaurant and my brothers are always annoying. Every day i mostly go to the milk bar with my friends that is just down the road from my house. I would sometimes play basketball with my friends at recess and lunch. Every morning i always watch a show called 'The Twits', that is a show were there is an old man and an old lady who always do bad things to each other. My favorite resturant has to be Conors pizza and every single time i go there, i would always get pizza and my mum and dad always tell me to get something else but i never listen to them.
On saturday we played basketball and versed a team called the Bullets and whoever won would be in the grand final. We ended up winning and we were now in the grand final and we were going to verse the Pirahnas and apparently they have won two years in a row so we knew that it was going to be really hard to beat them.

CAPTER 2 The basketball game Yes, Saturday, I was so relieved and happy after such a big week. Then I just remembered that basketball training at the school was on in thirty minutes so I quickly got ready. When we got to the school we could see cones set out and lines drawn on the ground. I could tell that this training session was going to be really hard and it was. We had to run up and back on the court twenty times then we had to weave through the cones then shoot and get three in a row and if we didn't, we would have to start all over again and we were not allowed to stop running, it was madness. The training session went for one and a half hours non stop.
Today was the grand final, we were all really nervous. We could see the other team, the Pirahnas. The girls were absolutely huge. All of them were really tall and were really strong. About ten minutes later we were on the court and were ready. We started and they scored a goal in like two seconds. They did that for the whole first quarter. In the second quarter we caught up, we were three points behind. We started the third quarter. We caught up really quick so now it was really close. The siren blew and we were in front by ten points. We ran over to our coach and he was really proud of us. This was it, the last and final quarter, this would decide everything. The first ten minutes it was really tough because they were going really hard on us, but we just fought and fought.
The whole game was really close, they were winning, then we were, then they were, it was crazy. There was a timeout and there was three minutes on the clock, the scores were thirty three to thirty four, they were winning by one point. We started, it was really tough, we scored a three pointer which was really good. There was thirty seconds left and it was so nerve racking. It was a draw. They threw the ball it down the cournt and there was no one there on our team. Then I see someone on our team run down the court. As the other team goes to shoot, the defence person on our team quickly blocked it and she stopped them from shooting, she grabs the ball and throws it to me and I run up, but I was surrounded by there team, there was five seconds left so I had to shoot. I was on the three point mark, i shot and everyone's face was on the ball, it goes everyone the siren goes off, everyone starts cheering. We won by one point. This was the best moment ever. Afterwards, everyone came over to my house to celebrate.

Chapter 3 shifting It was the holidays and we were selling our house. The person who was buying the house wanted us to be out before the summer holidays, that was really bad because i was really looking forward to the summer holidays, but now we have to pack and that will take forever. To make things worse, we were moving overseas. This meant i would leave all my friends and i would never see them again, that was really bad. We were moving to Italy. Mum said that i would make new friends and would experience the culture, but i wasn't really happy about that.
It was the last week of the summer holidays and we were packed, most of our belonings were already sent by plane. We got in the car and went to the airport. As we got to the airport we looked at the screen up above and we saw that our gate number was fifteen. We found our gate and we went on the plane and we took off. The flight took about five hours.
When we got to Italy, we got our suit cases and we went on a taxi to get to our house. We got there and we walked in and our house was massive, it had three bedrooms three bathrooms and it was two stories high. I went up stairs where the rooms were and i could see the master bedroom, that was mum and dads, then i moved across and there was the seconds biggest room, I saw jack and tom running around in the room saying that this was there room. There was one more room and that was the smallest, so I was stuck with it unfortunately.
Later on in the day three trucks arrived with all of our belongings and there was a lot of things. It took us ages to get all of the stuff off the truck and put it in our house because the delivery men were just sitting in the trucks smoking and telling us to hurry up so they could leave. How rude. The next day was monday and i went to school, i made a lot of new friends and learnt their language really quickly. I started to get used to Italy and there culture. I really liked it here now.
