I never get what I want
But I always hurt
From trying my hardest

Always coming last
I’m just the friend
Never good enough to
Have I want

Hearing ure fears
Getting so close
I could almost have a chance
Then in flash
I’m forgotten and past

Always helping
Always listening
Does it get me far, no
Cause I’m just a friend

Maybe I aim to high
Or I’m just not right
Really makes me wonder
Why I’m even here
