My heart skips a beat as she turns away,
Her immense beauty still causing me to sway,
My mind wanders to a time before now,
When my love for her I would so boldly vow.
Alas now she is leaving,
A fact I am incapable of perceiving,
Her beautiful smile so equipped to stun,
Is now a sneer designed to shun.
Together forever I believed blindly,
Shown the truth oh so unkindly,
She was my one, my only,
The reason I am so lonely.
The feelings I have will never be replicated,
Not now that we are forever separated,
Our intertwining paths have been cut,
The doors to our future forever shut.
